Receive emergency calls

Sending an emergency call is crucial, but the ability to receive an emergency call is just as important. Below you can read how this works:

How does it work?

The settings below are standard. Alternative configurations are negotiable.

Receive emergency calls with Emergency Center

  • Within 200 meters:
    • Direct Notification: Receive an alarm directly on your phone if you are within 200 meters of a colleague in need. This mechanism is especially effective in environments where rapid response is possible, such as within the same office.
      • Receive a (critical) notification with alarm sound in the Alarm app (default).
      • Or receive an incoming phone call + SMS (backup option).
  • Between 200 and 2000 meters:
    • Contact by the Emergency Center: If you are further than 200 meters, but within a radius of 2000 meters, of a colleague, an operator will approach you.
      • You receive a call from the emergency center. It is recommended to save this number in your contact list for recognition.

How do you save the number? Go to Menu > Change settings > App settings > Important Phone Numbers to save the emergency center number. This way you immediately recognize important calls and you can act quickly in emergency situations.

Receive emergency calls without an emergency center

  • Within 200 meters:
    • Direct Notification: If you are within 200 meters of a colleague in need, you will immediately receive an alarm on your phone. This is particularly effective in environments where rapid response is possible, such as in the same office.
      • Standard: A (critical) notification with alarm sound via the Alarm app.
      • Backup option: An incoming phone call + SMS.
  • Outside 200 meters and specific settings:
    • If you are outside a 200 meter radius, have the 'Receive emergency calls' option set to 'Off', and no one else is available to receive emergency calls:
      • Notification of emergency call: You will still receive a notification that there is an emergency call, so that you are aware of the emergency situation.

Contact Other Helpers

After confirming the call, a helper call is automatically set up, allowing direct communication between all helpers. This group conversation enables helpers to communicate quickly with each other and make essential agreements for effective follow-up of the emergency.

  • How does it work? As soon as you confirm the call, you will gain access to the helper conversation. Helpers who use the app are directly included in the conversation, while helpers without an app are called on their landline or mobile number.
  • Participate without the App: Helpers without the app can join the call by accepting the call and confirming that they will help by pressing '5' on their phone. After this confirmation, they are automatically linked to the existing helper conversation.
  • Join the Conversation: In the emergency call notification you will find an option to go directly to the helper conversation. Click to join the conversation and start communicating with the other helpers, whether you use the app or participate via a phone call.
  • Effective Communication: Use the conversation to share location updates, status of the situation, and any necessary actions. This ensures a coordinated effort and increases the efficiency of emergency services. The system ensures that all helpers, with or without an app, can fully participate in the conversation and contribute to the assistance provided.
